YouthBuild Charter School of California graduate Beverly Flores was featured in this interview as part of the social media documentary, "Undroppable," while she was still a student. She eventually graduated from our Norwalk site in 2014.

my dad was taking a shower my mom was getting ready to go work and as soon as we heard someone knocking it was immigration they came for them asking him that they had to leave with him they took him to Ivana we have a family business we didn't even know we were going to keep on moving if it was going to be shut down it's a lot of work. My parents did to have that restaurant and just in one day salad and forget about everything the people that really work but really have one the people that really work I do really hard working people they treated like if they were criminals that's one thing I don't like the house we've been paying in and we're so thankful that we still have it cuz we thought we were going to lose our house my aunt and my uncle they have been like helping us in supporting us a lot of to this day I wish you have the restaurant my brother me and my aunt it's been three years my brother is graduating with everybody thought that it was going to be a Dropout education is the key to success so my brother and I where are you working on it is graduating with this year and love like Elsa. Elsa School this year my brother this year and I think I'm in November everything that has happened it really has helped us a lot to be more responsible be more mature and to take advantage of what of what life gives us to help us and to grow up as a person
