Offering Virtual Mental Health Services for Students Through Hazel Health

Students learn best when they feel best. YouthBuild Charter School of California is partnering with Hazel Health in response to the increasing demand we are seeing for mental health services, especially after the pandemic. Hazel Health is available to support every YCSC student's mental well-being without any out-of-pocket costs for families. Hazel Health’s mental health providers are Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors.

Student can speak with a therapist from the convenience of school or home. Hazel Health provides the same high-quality care for students that are insured and uninsured, as well as for students of all immigration statuses.

Hazel Health's therapists can specialize in helping students with the following:

  • Mood/behavior changes, motivation, grief/loss
  • Separation anxiety, worry, fear
  • Social skills, bullying, peer & family relationships
  • Academic stress

Students under age 18 can only receive care with a completed consent form from a guardian.
