Q: What brought you to YouthBuild Charter School of California?

Bridget: What brought me to YouthBuild Charter School was that I needed to finish school but I also needed to have some sort of income. Thankfully, YouthBuild provided me with the opportunity to do just that. For me, it was the perfect fit.

Q: What did you like most about your YouthBuild Charter School of California experience? / What was your favorite YouthBuild memory?

Bridget: What I liked most about YouthBuild Charter School was their passion and eagerness for you to succeed. They were continuously supportive and non judgmental. They provided a comforting and safe place to learn. All the teachers and staff treated you like family, you could see and feel that they truly cared. They demonstrated nothing less than amazing guidance and counsel that I am beyond grateful for. My favorite memory was meeting all teachers and staff. Thank you for your hard work, I couldn't have done it with out you all.

Q: What are some of the skills/lessons you learned at YouthBuild Charter School of California that you think will stick with you?

Bridget: I think what will stick with me the most is the confidence embedded in me, and the importance of believing in myself.

Q: Who or what has helped motivate you to graduate?
Bridget: My daughter and my boyfriend are the ones who motivated me to graduate. He is also the one who made it possible for me by carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and doing everything he does. I also wouldn't have been able to do it without Adam Perez for his encouragement, commitment, understanding and guidance. Elisa Sgambellone for her endless support and guidance as well as Ms. Gamit, Mr. Smith, Mr. McCoy, Sean and the rest of the YouthBuild staff. You all played a crucial part in my motivation and journey to graduate. Thank you for having my back.
