Teacher Ryan Taketomo shares about their Trimester 2 CAP (community action project) process, which involved cleaning up the outdoor space at their site, planting seeds, and maintaining a community garden.

this is an update for the cap for Linux so we began with our planning process which meant uh upkeeping our Gardens in our community our target audience was our students and their families and the impact on our community is we wanted to make um especially with a lot of inflation with the high cost of groceries we wanted the plants that we were growing to help our students and their families get uh free or reduced price groceries the pillars of our community and it was uh the family is through family and Community engagement we wanted this activity or the process of giving um the vegetables and produce to our students to help them in our families the student reflection was uh you know every morning we and the students we would check on the plants every day they had we all had a lot of pride and joy and seeing how plants grow watering the plants um the next step is for our leader is during our leadership Fridays is to create the customizable bags for our students uh we we have the tools available so they'll create their own designs and uh they could use these bags to carry the produce that home to their families to clean out our beds cut around our beds this is our best 1 right here that would just throw them yeah get it all get it all in there our service is coming out beautiful look at that
