Below is our graduation planning guide. In order to receive a high school diploma from YouthBuild Charter School of California, you must complete the 200 credits based on the requirements listed below.
PLEASE NOTE: In August 2015, Governor Jerry Brown signed SB725, allowing schools to issue diplomas for any grade 12 student who has earned sufficient credits for a diploma in 2015, even if the student has not passed the CAHSEE. This new law will be effective immediately. The form below does not reflect this change, but is otherwise accurate. Any student enrolling in the 2016-17 school year who completes all of these credit requirements will receive a high school diploma regardless of whether they have previously passed the CAHSEE. We will not be offering the CAHSEE during the 2016-17 school year as it is no longer a graduation requirement in the state of California.
